God and I decided to play
hide and seek.
I closed his eyes,
Asked him what do you see
He said nothing.
I hid myself
He still found me
Screamed from my deep throat,
"Thou Cheated me with your powers"
With Laugh a like thunder
came back the reply
which made me wonder
"All I did is, I sought what i need "
Though shall seek ,
Also you will reap
Then he Closed my eyes
on a mission to find him
Long time i searched
Could not find
So dark it was
Ran out of patience ,
I opened my eyes,
I saw my mom.
Again i played
the same game with her ,
This time she opened my eyes
and showed my dad.
Again i played
the same game with him ,
Every time i opened my eyes ,
saw something new ,
toys, chocolates and gifts.
One day when he opened my eyes after the game ,
he pointed to a new person .
Confused i was,
He was not a
toy, chocolate or a Gift .
My father replied
"He is what you allow him to be and ,
You will be what he makes of you ""
Saying this words he left
as he felt it was right
Decades passed
Day in and day out
Played with him
hide and seek
on many aspects of life
When the game used to end,
i opened my eyes,
few times i found
many times i did not.
Then a day came ,
he told we are going to play this game a last time.
When you open your eyes ,
you may not find me again,
but you should continue seeking
The game ended,
When i opened my eyes ,
i did not find him .
Days and Months rolled,
i could not find him.
With a mind so tired ,
heart so desperate ,
body so heavy ,
I lay under a tree
for a sleep.
You seek me in the form ,
Seek me everywhere he said .
I opened my eyes ,
I saw him,
In the cool breeze under the tree
even in a hot sun ,
In form of Sparrow feeding from
crocodile's teeth,
in the warmth that melt himalayan ice
to quench humanity in form of ganges ,
in the form of dog which ate the grass
to relieve its misery in the stomach,
in the form of crow
building nests for its chick
Realisation dawned ,
For he wanted me not to find him
But to look everywhere
on how to seek ..
Happy Teachers Day
